Day 2

Day 2 took me through Eugene and back onto route 126 for the rest of the day. There was an excellent bike trail that covered 10 miles or so on the way into town. Eugene had a confusing mess of roads and I put on an extra mile or two after getting lost for a bit.

East of Eugene I got back on route to 126, following the McKenzie river through a number of small towns and gaining 1000 or so feet in elevation. Below are a couple of shots I took along the way.




I ended the day at Paradise Campground,  just past McKenzie Bridge. My total mileage for the day was 71 miles.

    That's a lot of miles to travel in one day. Keep up the good work. Watch out for the wild critters!! Lol. Happy to hear you ran into friendly people. Stay safe.
